My best guess (and totally a guess) is Bob Pulford ... left-handed shooting forward with a number that starts with a 2 ... and looks like the right era
That definitely IS Bob Pulford, no question about it. The goalie is Terry Sawchuck, and, just possibly, the Detroit player behind Pulford may be Leo Labine. And the year may be 1960-61, refering to the white maple leaf stamp over the thumb of Pulford's glove. (You'd think he scored on this play . . . an easy backhand over the off-balance Sawchuck . . . but we'll never know!
From Acomb to Zezel, VINTAGE LEAFS features photographs of your favourite Toronto Maple Leafs from years gone by. While the primary focus of the blog is on older photographs, the only steadfast rule is that players on the current team will not be showcased.
