Most likely Garry Monahan, based on facial looks (and hair) and knowing he was LH forward on Leafs in year this picture was taken which has to be either 73/74 or 74/75 given the Bruins players on the ice (Dallas Smith, Gilbert, Espo, Vadnais). I can't think of any other Leafs in those seasons who looked close to that.
As a trivial meaningless aside, the Bruins D in the picture is half of what was sometimes known by wags as the "Bob & Carol & Ted & Dallas" quartet (Orr, Vadnais, Green and Smith, respectively). This was slightly humorous in about 1970 when the movie "Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice" was raking it in at the box-office. The movie has withstood the test of time even worse than the players.
From Acomb to Zezel, VINTAGE LEAFS features photographs of your favourite Toronto Maple Leafs from years gone by. While the primary focus of the blog is on older photographs, the only steadfast rule is that players on the current team will not be showcased.
